Food & Nutrition
Food and Nutrition Services is an extension of the educational program in schools and is operated under the federally funded National School Lunch Act. The program is administered by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Food and Nutrition Services provides nutritious meals that give every HCSD student the opportunity to make educated, healthy food choices that will have long-term health, academic, and physical outcomes. The purpose of Food and Nutrition Services is to provide a variety of nutritious choices for breakfast and lunch that meet the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, offering a high level of customer service to all patrons, valuing cultural diversity, and hiring and training the best staff possible.

Kitchen Manager Contact
School Kitchen Managers can be reached by calling the school directly and asking for the Cafeteria Manager. Most managers are on campus between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM (the exact hours vary with the school's starting and meal service ending times).

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
