Welcome to Our School
Brooksville Elementary is a school that is rich in tradition. Located next door to Hernando High School, and just blocks from Downtown Brooksville, we are a true community school that thrives on family and community involvement. As a member of leopard nation, our roots run deep with purple and gold.
At BES we believe that families are a vital part of any child’s education and we pride ourselves in having a family inclusive environment. We encourage parent involvement and invite families to participate together on campus for different events such as Frozen Family Math Night, Double AR Reading Night, and our Someone Special Dance. Parents and families are always welcomed at BES!
At BES we utilize a school-wide house system where all students and adults on campus are sorted into one of six houses. Each house is named after a character trait; Compassion, Loyalty, Perseverance, Courage, Integrity, and Authenticity. Students have the opportunity to wear their house colors weekly for “House Wednesday”, earn points for their house through various competitions and activities, and meet with their house monthly to learn about character education. The experience’s learned through our house system lead to a learning environment where mutual respect is valued by students and teachers.
Our motto, and true belief at BES is "6 Houses 1 Family"!
