MR. RICHARD "RJ" INMON, PRINCIPAL

Richard “RJ” Inmon is a proud product of the Hernando County School System. He graduated from Hernando High School in 1999. He earned his bachelors degree from Shorter College in Rome Ga and his masters degree and specialist degree from St. Leo University. He has worked in the Hernando School District since 2004. He taught for 10 years at Spring Hill Elementary and then 2 years at Explorer K8 before becoming the assistant principal here at BES. He has been serving in this school since 2016. He is now in his first year as the principal. When he isn’t working at BES, he is taking care of his foster children with his wife and spending time with his extended family. He loves being part of the BES family and is excited to see what the school year holds.

 

MR. WILSON SOMMER, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL 

Wilson Sommer was born and raised, right here, in Brooksville, Florida. He’s a proud graduate of Hernando High School. He went on to get a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from University of South Florida. Her went back to school to receive a Masters in Educational Leadership from St. Leo University.

Wilson has worked for the Hernando County School District since 2011.  He taught for six years at Central High School before transitioning back to his elementary roots transferring to Eastside Elementary School for 4 years. Before becoming the Assistant Principal at BES, he spent two years as an ESE Specialist for the district at Westside Elementary School.

When not at work he enjoys exploring Florida, cruising to various ports of call, and enjoying food with friends and family. He’s excited to start this new adventure as part of the BES family and can’t wait to see where it leads!
