Kayce Hawkins

Kayce Hawkins has resided in Hernando County, District 2 for 18 years and is a proud wife and mother of three children. With a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and various endorsements, she has excelled as a highly effective teacher in Hernando County Schools, teaching in various low-performing, high performing and Title I schools. In addition to her career as an educator, she is an entrepreneur and co-owns two successful businesses with her husband.

She loves to support and help many non-profit organizations such as Jericho Road Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Friends of Hernando County Parks and Recreation, Operation Heart Felt, Friends of Weeki Wachee and the Kiwanis Club. Kayce is a former member of the Junior Service League of Brooksville, and serves on several committees such as The Ability Tree, PTO member, MidFlorida House to Home and the CETA Annual Student Recognition. In the past, she served as the President of the Hernando County Association of Business Partners and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Kayce has spent numerous hours volunteering in our schools and church organizations. She is committed to serving and making a change in our community.

As an experienced educator, dedicated parent and successful business owner with a deep commitment to her community, Kayce possesses a unique understanding of the needs of students, parents and staff within the district. She strives to create a safe and supportive learning environment, prepare students for their future and represent the district with integrity, fiscal responsibility and collaborative teamwork. With a steadfast commitment to advocacy and a determination to drive positive change, Kayce will work tirelessly to amplify the voices of her constituents and ensure the very best for our schools and community.
