HERNANDO COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT LOVES OUR APPROVED VOLUNTEERS!!!!

volunteerVolunteers are individuals interested in assisting in classrooms, cafeterias, libraries, front offices, or anywhere else requested by the school. Volunteers also serve as chaperones on school field trips. All volunteers must complete an online volunteer application. Anyone interested in volunteering in a school MUST consent to a National Volunteer Background Check. This background check is completed by SafeVisitor and carries a fee of $9.95 payable online at the time of your application. Level 2 Volunteers (requires approval from the school principal) must first be an approved Level 1 Volunteer. Upon principal approval in writing to Safe Schools, prospective Level 2 Volunteers will receive information for fingerprinting which is required. The cost of fingerprints is determined by the UPS store and the responsibility of the Level 2 Volunteer. Level 1 and Level 2 volunteers pay an additional fee for a district issued badge to be worn ON CAMPUS – NO EXCEPTIONS.
