The School District of Hernando County does not discriminate on the basis of disability in its hiring or employment practices. This notice is provided as required by Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans With Disabilities Amendment Act (ADAAA) or 2008.

Consistent with federal and state disablity laws, it is the policy of the Hernando School District to provide reasonable accommodation when requested by a qualified applicant or candidate with a disability, unless such accommadation would cause an undue hardship for Hernando School District. The policy regarding requests for reasonable accommodation applies to all aspects of the hiring process. If reasonable accommodation is needed, please contact:

To request accommodations, please print and submit the Request for Accommodations form.

Medical certification of an ADAAA qualifying disability will be required to be completed by an appropriate health care professional after the initial request is received. All necessary documents will be sent to the employee requesting an accommodation.
