IB Programme
The IB application window for the 2025-2026 school year will be open to all 8th, 9th and 10th grade students from October 7, 2024 to December 1, 2024. Prospesctive IB students should complete the following steps: (1) Attend the last IB informational night on Tuesday, November 19, from 6:00-7:30pm in the SHS Cafeteria (2) Review all IB Programme information on the SHS website - Course Progression Schedule, Policies, Achievement Data, FAQs, etc. (3) Complete the online application (students should use their Hernando County email to do so AND/OR log into their Google account to complete the application) in its entirety using the following link: IB APPLICATION 2025-2026 ** Please note- students who are accepted for placement into the IB Programme for the 2025-2026 school year will be notified via mail in early January **
The IB Exam registration deadline is November 15, 2024. Any student sitting for an IB exam in May 2025, and who is requesting testing accommodations, MUST complete the Request for Inclusive Arrangements form (found on the Assessment tab of the IB page) and submit with the appropriate documentation to the IB Coordinator PRIOR to the November 15 deadline. Please note- students requesting testing accommodations MUST have an IEP or 504 in place to make such a request. Furthermore, any student who withdraws from an IB class that is registered for a May 2025 IB Exam after the November 15 deadline WILL incur the $119 exam registration fee, unless previous arrangements were made with the IB Coordinator.

AP 2024 School Honor Roll

Springstead High School was awarded the Silver status for the 2023-2024 school year by having at least 50% of the 2024 class take at least 1 AP exam before graduation, and at least 35% of those test takers pass at least 1 AP exam. Congratulations students and teachers!
