Results are in! Central High School, home of "Bear Country" and the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma received its 2021 scores and the pass rates by course are outstanding indicating that 70% of Central's first cohort earned their AICE Diploma.

The AICE program is an advanced academic option for students that offers a highly respected diploma designation for its graduates. Each spring and summer, students in the program take exams in AICE courses and with a passing score, successfully earn college credit.

Despite the disruptions of the last school year, Central High's 2021 scores are a clear indicator of the strength of its program. "AICE is only in its 4th year at Central but these pass rates are impressive," Superintendent, John Stratton said. "I congratulate the entire team at CHS and their first cohort of students who have certainly set the bar high!"
"I am always proud to be a BEAR; however, today I am blown away by the amazing results of our 2021 Cambridge AICE exams. Four years ago, we started with three AICE courses. In only 4 years, Central's program now offers our curious and diverse student body 14 advanced courses. Our faculty has made a commitment to providing quality acceleration opportunities for our students," Principal Kelly Slusser said. "I am so excited for our students, families, and our faculty for this enormous accomplishment."
